The 2011 International Conference on Knowledge Science, Engineering and Management provides a leading international forum for the sharing of views, ideas and original work among researchers, practitioners and developers to enlighten new insights into KSEM-related areas. The conference attracts numerous high quality, state-of-the-art research papers from all over the world. KSEM2011 to be held in Irvine, California, USA is the fifth in the conference series, following four successful events in Guilin, China (KSEM06), Melbourne, Australia (KSEM07), Vienna, Austria (KSEM09) and Belfast, Northern Ireland (KSEM10).

Prospective participants are requested to electronically submit full papers of their work (12 pages). In accordance with the previous conferences the organizers of KSEM 2011 will publish the conference proceedings with Springer in the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNAI) series. Selected papers will be considered, via standard reviewing procedures, to appear in special issues of several SCI-indexed international journals.

All submissions must be written in English and formatted according to the guidelines of Lecture Notes of Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence at the Srpinger-Verlag.
